Prospective Research Assistants (RAs)

Research Topics & Focus Areas

As a Research Assistant, you will support various aspects of our research projects, including data collection, observation, coding, and data analysis. You’ll also assist with literature reviews, lab organization, and study administration as needed.

While prior experience in psychology research is helpful, it is not required. We seek motivated individuals who are passionate about developmental psychology, social behavior, or mental health. Familiarity with research methods, infant/child development, or basic data analysis tools is a plus.

RA positions may be unpaid or for academic credit, depending on the project and your university’s policies. Some positions may offer a stipend based on funding availability. Please discuss specific arrangements with our lab coordinator.

We typically require RAs to commit 8-12 hours per week, though this may vary based on specific projects. We value reliability and flexibility, as research schedules can sometimes require weekend or evening availability.

Yes, all new RAs undergo a training period, which includes an introduction to lab protocols, data collection techniques, and study-specific procedures. This training helps ensure you’re well-prepared and comfortable with lab tasks.
